@Red-Supernova
The discounts are good for the VC/Eshop exclusive games, but yeah, I prefer the physical versions for the newer more expensive games, or ones that require more data to download.
Actually, the exclusive Zelda anniversary theme wallpaper is pretty cool, but yeah… More variety in the prizes would be nice…
@Beau Skunky
:D I kinda feel like a disgrace to 90s kids though since I like newer games a lot more though. :P
Cool. I own the original separate games on my Wii U and I’ve fully completed both of them. (Except for two stamps from NES Remix 2) I don’t have the 3DS version since it seems to be just the same challenges from the Wii U games but its more focused on the games most gamers give the most shits about, which I have no problem with really.
UGH. I really despise MyNintendo’s stinginess. Is this company so strapped for cash that they can’t even distribute free games to members of their rewards program?! Software discounts don’t cut it for me since I mostly buy physical copies of my games and offering just 3DS home menu skins is just pathetic. I have over 1,500 Platinum Points just waiting to be used and I can’t find anything I want.
I have the “NES Remix Pack” game disc, it’s a hoot. I also have the 3DS version, which I got from Club Nintendo, before they replaced it with MyNintendo. (Which now rarely ever offers free games…)
YES! You are definitely right about there needing to be more Gamer Celestia pics!
However, I prefer to picture Celestia playing both retro and modern games, same as Luna.
My ponysona would be all up for playing with his/her favorite princess.
@EmployeeAMillion
Have you played NES Remix 1 & 2 before? You would definitely love those.
@EmployeeAMillion
I didn’t like that one either, but it’s pseudo spinoff “DK King of Swing” & “DK Jungle Climber” weren’t bad, and had better controls.
I agree, there’s many overlooked black-box NES games. “Wrecking Crew” needs more love too. Balloon Fight is pretty addictive too.
I actually got a mini “NES Classic Edition,” and it’s pretty awesome.
@Beau Skunky
A majority of the NES’ 1984-1985 games are really underrated. The only one I don’t really like is Clu Clu Land, but that’s because I’m not fond of puzzle games in general.
@monolyth
My neice prefers SMB3. Though, I like all the Mario games.
Looking back, SMB1 actually aged better then alot of retro games. You have more control over the physics, (how high/far you jump, how fast you move) then most others. The only annoying thing that didn’t age well is the inability to backtrack in levels, but some argue that helps the challenge. Also, in 2-player mode the second player has to wait until the first dies to get their turn. Regardless, it’s a classic.
“Balloon Fight” actually had pretty impressive physics too.
@EmployeeAMillion
I think the joke is that Retrolestia is so good at this game, player 2 never gets a turn. Like, ever. Going through the whole game on one life, that’s how hardcore she is.
It doesn’t really matter much in that game, considering this was before the brothers had different skills and personalities, but thanks for the offer Tia.
As long as there’s demand for physical copies, I wouldn’t worry.
I don’t mind digital for old hard to find, or cheaper games though. Like Virtual Console games.
Edited
I really hope technology isn’t going to force us to make every game in the market downloadable only.

It’s my childhood.
Let’s see how she handles Silver Surfer then. >:)
@Cyborg_pony
Though not the best Mario game, it’s certainly one of the more exciting ones.

Retrolestia is my kind of person!
i love retro games :3
