Well he might but when Thanos curses Deadpool with immortality he has to take it away instead of simply erasing Deadpool when he becomes a pain to Thanos. So depending if you consider Saitama immortal. Thanos could possibly not be able to easily erase Saitama due to him likely being immortal. As well as Saitma reaching his current power level without assistance from Thanos. Thanos might not be able to simply remove his immortality as well.
 
 
But this is just speculation and really its hard to prove who would beat who. Especially in series that aren’t all that serious or grounded where most long running characters dip into the looney area of ridicules at times. Anyways back to frying my eye sockets out trying to guess who some of the smaller more obscure characters are.

As for the whole Hades thing, chances are, I’ll bet he feels he has Thanos in the palm of his hand despite how cold the big guy can be, even making threats to Hades while he (begrudgingly) plays the ‘approachable friend/toadie’ role. But that’s just me.
 
Then again, as far as Thanos vs. Saitama goes, it is worth noting that Thanos may or may not erase Saitama from existence. For all we know, he could go crazy with the damn thing.

Except Thanos operates on logic you’re suppose to take seriously to the point it has identifiable limits, Saitama meanwhile is literally Japanese Anime’s answer to Popeye the Sailor Man. And besides, if we are to believe Hades is in control of this little game then what does it say about Thanos when he’s one of Hades’ “pieces”?

Yeah I can understand where you’re coming from, in fact I have similar gripes in regards to Thanos….

The rationale for why Batman usually tends to end up on top of many mano-e-mano lists is because to him has been attributed the heroic traits of analysis, adaption, the enlightenment, and rationalism.
 
He’s the most resonant hero of the modern age, because he pretty much personifies a shedload of the traits that are admirable in this era. The other characters are developed and capable, but Batman quite literally is modern human ingenuity ‘the character’, so he gets away with a lot.

It’s not popularity that I have a problem with, it’s the fact that people go “Oh Batman can fight/beat Superman”, “Batman can easily steal Hal Jordan’s ring”, “Batman is the most dangerous member of the Justice League even though it includes The Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and even Cyborg and has plans to kill all his allies”.
