Some shorts on Siren habits especially when concerning their rare and precious pups, as well as a size comparison of a fully fledged siren to a little earth pony mare. This often happens near villages and harbors where ponies venture out to forage or take the long routes to neighbors, thankfully they are the ones who find the little ones on this occasion rather than a predator. Siren young are inquisitive and investigate everything they find interesting, in this case the little hatchling finds a mare who doesn’t know about sirens herself. So she treats it like a lost foal until a heavy snort of air from the mother freaks her out. Finding no other cover she instead hides under the mischievous pup who is clueless at why her mother’s so angry and why the strange furry thing is under her.
 
In most cases as long as the pup is unharmed the mothers leave the pony or griffon alone, concerned far too much in protecting and guarding their little miracles. Rarely are the unfortunate bystanders fed upon, but it can happen if a pod is low on energy.
