Actually what I was saying is that immortal =/= invincible.
 
Immortal means you don’t age after a certain point. You don’t “die of old age”, and it’s possible.
 
Invincible means you can’t die, so things like hanging wouldn’t kill you.
 
But you can live for centuries and still die from things like anyone else. Like elves.
 
Or you can never age at all, but still be vulnerable to any mortal risk like blood choke/strangulation.
 
There’s no reason to assume that just because they’ve lived more than a thousand years that strangling wouldn’t kill them.
 
You could argue Luna’s Lunar banishment, but I think it’s silly people actually think she was on the moon. It makes a lot more sense if the moon just became the vessel for her spirit like a Horcrux. Just look at how the craters formed a mare in the moon while she was banished.
