Slice of Life didn’t really confirm anything except that they are friends, that episode was mostly about featuring fan favorite characters than anything else.

Yo, even if parts of this comic are considered headcanon for anypony, it’s still fan art, man. :T

For the first one, I’m more thinking Vinyl is the daughter of Twilight Velvet, who had to give her up due to having her at too young an age or cause she was not in a stable relationship. Makes more sense since they share more characteristics such as a stripped mane (unlike Night Light) and similar build. May be a bit dark compare to the original idea but it would still work quite nicely.

The part about shining armour not true. She was still a fully when shinning was in high school/college

(1) Sorry, but no-one cares if you agree with Octavscratch as cannon (2) Mlp is a kid-friendly show, so Hasbro would never in a million years let something like that get past them, in fear of what parents might throw at them. (3) Equestria, is NOT a hierarchy government. This would imply that the leaders, or the ruler of the country consider themselves higher than their people, hence the name hierarchy. Celestia has shown time, and time again to love and care for her citizens, on a near-motherly level, and both her and Luna humble themselves, going to tiny little get together like parties and things. So maybe you don’t know much of the lore as you think…(4) You really don’t need to type in 5 comments what can be summarized in 1.

[spoiler] Everything wrong with this pic. (1) Vinyl Scratch’s eyes are magenta not purple. (2) Twilight Velvet has very high standers. That’s why Twilight Sparkle was born in Canterlot It also explains why Prince Blue Blood hardly ever gets any mares because of his snobby attitude. (3) There is still a hierarchy which is contradictory to freedoms required for homosexual ideals, which means traditions are law, which also explains why Twilight Sparkle and her friends need to end them from time to time in the show. I know my MLP lore. Deal with it.

I do not except Vinyl x Octavia as head canon. The rest is fine. I have my personal reasons why I dont accept V x O. I will literally punch something or someone if it becomes canon and I am not lying.

I have seen several fics where she’s mentioned as being a cousin to the Sparkle sibs, but nothing as close as Shining’s secret twin.
