This is my theory I think Chrysalis feeds on love not because she wants power but to fix her broken heart and her broken heart caused her to look like this
You’re contradicting yourself. It also can’t be a misconception if it’s the more valid of the two.
Right. I see you’re in favour of that misconception. There’s no point in further discussing, as I’m not seeking to convince anyone to anything.
She didn’t stay because they were mutated into basically ponies and betrayed her for no real reason, we saw they enjoyed what they were doing so they just turned on her because plot.
You can dislike it all you want it doesn’t change the fact her motives are clear from the beginning and never change even in the finale she still says they will be provided for. There’s more canonical evidence that she cares than there is that she doesn’t.
So why Chrysalis chose to flee instead of staying with the children She “loves” so much?
Why, of course! Chrysalis has to keep Her drones alive or She’d have no subjects to serve Her. Unfortunately, it seems She actually ended up in such situation :c
Personally, I never liked the idea of Chrysalis being a loving mother to Her subjects/ children, and after that episode I feel reassured that it was just a misconception about Her.
She says in the episode that the plan was to have the love flow to her and the very next sentence is that her people will feed on it for generations. That clearly means it couldn’t have just been for her.
She also had every reason to attack Starlight as she was likely lying to save herself.
Clearly, you haven’t seen the moth-reindeer episode. If that was the case, Chrysalis wouldn’t have smashed the hell out of Glimmer’s hoof and She’d be thankful for what happened ;p To me it shows that Chrysalis actually cares for Herself only and I love it! She’s the Queen after all! <3
