Agreed. I’m not that keen on the notion of Starlicorn happening, for the simple reason that I think Starlight is too cool for wings (and in general). Besides, she doesn’t even need them. Having said that, I have a morbid sense of curiousity of seeing it happen solely for the purpose of seeing how much the fandom rages, but I digress. If this happened, Twilight Sparkle is the Princess of Freindship, while Starlight Glimmer would become the Princess of Magic. Now that I think about it, given that Magic and Friendship are two sides of the same coin, this is a rather interesting finding. It makes the idea of Starlicorn all the more interesting, but again, I don’t think it would be necessary. After all, look at Starswirl the Bearded, for instance. He was considered one of the greatest unicorns who ever lived, and he didn’t need to be given wings. Speaking of which, it wouldn’t surprise me if Starlight was a descendent of Starswirl, which would explain where she got her magical abilities from. With all that said, I liked how this art piece turned out! :D

Same. While the mane 6 are great characters in their own right, I think we could use a break from them. Otherwise, the mane 6 would get stale, and there wouldn’t be much left to do with them as characters (which is what I’ve somewhat felt for a while now). Whether it’s seeing more of Starlight and Trixie, or other characters, I think it’s refreshing, and wouldn’t mind seeing more of that for a change. After all, variety is the spice of life. :)

They are all great characters which can still be used extensively but having a break from them like we have been having lately actually makes the show much richer in detail and depth, so far I have been feeling that Starlight was an extremely well thought out character and having Trixie as her main friend instead of one of the mane6 was the cheery at the top of cake.
 
MLP Has much to give yet and I can only be happy about it, this show means awfully a lot to me the day it cease Im really going to mourn

I feel like there isn’t much left for the mane 6 as far as character progression goes

Trixie and Starlight refreshed the show so much, if it kept exclusive on mane6 it would have gotten “old” much faster.
