Yeah not going to lie, if she was a fanmade oc she’d be viewed as nothing more than a painfully typical Mary Sue.

I disagree. I think Gabby was in lead of the Griffon team as she tried to build up friendship between them.
I can see that intern guy sitting in that hidden room watching them, Then a griffon slams against his two way glass going “RELEASE US!”
I’d call it “Gilda’s Poorly Conceived Plan to Increase Griffon Friendship Levels #76”.’
(Probably featuring Gabby since it’s not hard to imagine stereotypical griffons finding her insufferable & that she’d be up for it.)

It makes sense only if they were put in that situation against their will.
Unless there is a reward in bits for any team breaking the previous record.
I like to think that the griffons held the record because they were trying to get away from each other as quickly as possible.
If Gabby was there the record wouldn’t even be a full minute. She built an entire 17th century sailing ship in less than a day.
