All spaces still has 4 edges, so all pieces can still follow the same rule for movement. Rooks crosses the lines and bishops crosses the corners. Starting from your side, your left side goes to the left opponent’s right side, and your right side goes goes to your right opponent’s left side. There’s where your pawns upgrade. Each corner goes to the corner on the opposite side. If a pawn on the left side of the middle would attack from the 4th row towards the right into the 5th row, it will then be able to move straight forward to the edge that has no player.
 
This is all good, but there’s just one fail: the left corner should be black, and the right corner should be white, so they should have rotated the board 60° before starting.
