And impressive how that record survived for so long, considering how Grogar said he had to recover for “millennias” (plural!).
For all we know, his terror rule of the land that should become Equestria one day and his defeat by Gusty, the Great could have happened 5,000 years ago.
I really hope we can still learn some more things about that era before Season 9 ends.

It’s kind of interesting how it wasn’t just a mere storybook but was actually a record of the fight against Grogar, similar to how the Daring do books are actually real events that have taken place.

While I didn’t go through each episode myself I used My Little Wiki which has a cast list for each story and which parts each character appeared in, splitting it up between non-speaking appearances and speaking ones. I used that to get my numbers.

Just for fun here is every character with more than 10 speaking appearances in the whole show

Gusty 25, Buttons 24, Fizzy 23 Hearth Throb 17, Lickety-Split 16, Galaxy 14, Wind Whistler 14, North Star 12, Lofty 11

My method is obviously not flawless (most of these are just single lines) but I think it gives the best idea about it.

Fun Fact: Gusty has the most speaking appearances of any Pony character in the whole of MLP ’n Freinds with 25 individual episode appearances with at least some line

History books, actually. Shadowlock is trying to erase the memory of something that happened in the past, to prevent the past from repeating itself.
But I’m sure you’re on to something here.

Solar Supporter - Fought against the New Lunar Republic rebellion on the side of the Solar Deity (April Fools 2023).

So IDW has recently released a new comic Series called “Legends of Magic „which is all about heroes from the past. Now Twilight is reading a book about a great hero from the past who fought an evil villain.

It’s probably only a matter of time until they announce a “Legends of Magic” book about Gusty and Grogar.

Ooo…. NICE! Quite the sight to see those 2 characters, Fizzy maybe my favorite pony, but Gusty is fun too to see how she does with Grogar in the story. In my finale bingo, Grogar is not the only ram we’ll see, we see Bray the donkey too. Bray had enough of Grogar and turned to the good side while Grogar is banished back into the Realm of Darkness.

You’re not the only one, I love him since my old G1 days, he’s my first villain (Not Tirek, I didn’t watch that pilot episode back in that day) and became a badass one, including the story of his ancient magical bell. And of course, a touching song too, “Let the Bell of Freedom Ring”.
