To be fair, Twilight Velvet and Nightlight have never once talked to their daughter directly, even in scenes talking with their son’s wife. I’m not actually disagreeing with you on the model thing, I get where your coming from, but the Twilight fam are hardly good examples since they have no role in their daughter’s life. They are afterthoughts, and they were forced to have speaking lines when they became grandparents.

I’m going with Uncle Rainbow Blaze. Her totally chill uncle who she likes to tell her stories to because he doesn’t go off the deep end with his praise. He totally knew she was a Wonderbolt and they went out for cider afterwards to celebrate.

Maybe, but like I said, given that he already looks almost like Blaze anyway, why did they basically waste money making up a new character rig instead of using one that they already had.

I guess I could buy that, especially on glancing at sceenshots of the mentioned eps, he pretty much has Blaze’s EXACT color scheme. They only thing different is his cutie mark. But again, Blaze appears in the last Christmas ep, so he must have REALLY let himself go within a years time…

Given that, I don’t get why they didn’t just USE ‘Rainbow Blaze’ as his character model. Not every parent needs a unique body design. Twilight Velvet and Nightlight don’t, so they would have saved money using the existing character design. Not to mention ‘Blaze’ was already established as a possible member of Dash’s family given his appearances in the Equestrian Games flashback and the last Christmas episode.

…he looks enough like Rainbow Blaze I’m going to say “Headcanon at least partially confirmed”.
