There are quite a few scenes of background ponies where the two are paired together. Rule of “standing together equals they must be a couple” plus the “Derpy looks like Rose Tyler to Doctor’s 10th incarnation” equals the modern ship.
To me, it would have been fine if there wasn’t a sudden deluge of those pics, ask blogs, cartoons, etc. minutes after this connection was made. Now it’s been oversaturated to me and I can’t stand it.
I think because she is the most
overratedpopular background female and the most popular background maleHonestly I’ve never understood the doctor and derpy ship? Can someone explain to me how it came up? It doesn’t make any sense to me
Bowties are cool- Eleventh Doctor.

They were separated in time and space after an attack on a secret facility in London. However, it was one of the few times the Doctor actually genuinely got attached to a companion (the other big ones being Sarah Jane and Clara) and the most the Doctor could do was sent a clone of himself to that world; it has none of his abilities as a Time Lord, but they’re basically married in the alternate universe.
The companion’s name is Rose Tyler.

The hell happened to his previous design? Did they got a C&D from BBC?
They kiss a few times and then she runs away with his clone
their romance was actually kinda stupid looking back on it but it used to be my number 1 OTP
Kinda…
There is a companion named Rose in Doctor Who who actually shared an on-screen kiss with him…she also ended up dating his clone in a very stupid episode.
Don’t look at me like that, I have bad experiences with that part of the fandom. XP
