Chrysalis is not even appearing in the Season 8 finale, let alone in the Season 9 opening

I don’t want to see her be reformed, but I would love if she helped out against some bigger evil and wins a royal pardon. The price of which is she has to live in Ponyville with the Mane Six keeping an eye on her.
 
Of course Chryssy messes with them at every opportunity, just to see how far she can push them. I can only say that if you ever saw the Wicked Queen/Lillian on a very old TV show, The Charmings, that’s what I would enjoy seeing done with her.

Ooh, also, the “even eviler villain is controlling me against my will– help me mane characters” sort of story, like Vegeta. :3

I must reluctantly agree-as a “reformed” character she might become a recurring character but she’d not be the same, would she?
 
I adore Bugbutt. I love the character design. I love the voice acting done for her. I love the totally over-the-top way she boasts and swaggers and chews the scenery. I love her enthusiastic, unrepentant Saturday morning cartoon supervillainess shenanigans. If you “reform” her, she’s not really the same character any more, is she? It’d be such a waste.
 
Of course, I have loved villainesses all my life, too, the more outrageous, the better, so maybe my perspective is warped on this topic. And Hasbro doesn’t ask for my opinion anyway, so-
 
It’s sort of like Discord. When he was introduced, he was basically Nyarlathotep. He was utterly alien, from a place undreamed-of, the limits of his powers were unknown, and it was obvious he was playing a game with the ponies with rules only he understood. It was also obvious at the end that he let them win, for whatever unfathomable cruel-alien-chaos-god-from-another-dimension reason, and they’d have been helpless to turn him back into stone if he hadn’t been playing along. But now he’s a goofy comedy-relief character who has tea parties with Fluttershy. Such a waste of de Lancie’s voice acting talent.

It may be my bias with the character but I really would like to see an energetic, good-hearted Chrysalis, in constrast with her previous personality and her design(that I don’t want it to change).  
I like to imagine she would act more silly and immature than the other princesses, like she simply enjoys having fun.

They could also add to her character if they go the Dr. Eggman/Skeletor/Legion of Doom route by keeping her the unending evil in a Saturday morning cartoon kind of way… But I doubt they’ll be able to get Adam West. >w<
 
I’m joking of that last part, but in any case, even if she were always evil, all news 740 AM (I know not if that station is heard outside of California, but whatever, lol), there are times when the preceding examples team up with the heroes on occasion to combat Chaos or Biolizard or Brainiac or Darkseid (never saw the original He-Man, remember entirely nothing of the reboot.) :j
 
Chrys wants to conquer Equestria, so, she’ll most likely join the ponies, temporarily or otherwise, to stop a given villain who wants to destroy it.
