Yes, the vacuum’s inspired by Hoovers. However, it’s one from the 1930s. It appears to be an 825 model, but the big difference is the handle is Ponified. I can’t find a very good picture of one that focuses on the handle, but it was straight and not going in 2 directions like the handle of a 50s lawnmower.

The saying “She’ll be happier with a Hoover!” goes back at least as far as 1948. This first Christmas ad is supposed to be from 1950, and it shows the Model 29. It has more upscale sister models 62 and 63; those are both blue. The second ad shows either the Model 28, 60, or 61. Some Hoover numbering might seem a bit odd. I have a 62, and while it’s nice and still working, I can’t find replacement brushes for it easily. They’ll show up maybe once a year.
