Yep! See the comments from Martin Grey on his blog describing his time editing the comics! Their production process sounds a bit more thorough than I was thinking. Interesting takeaway from that thread: Hasbro were very hands on and protective of their properties back then, but they still signed off on some genuinely weird stuff from time to time (uploads passim)
I’m assuming only the linework got the fax treatment. I don’t think the technology’s treatment of colour would have been good enough for comic production.
