Nah seriously though that makes sense. I mostly used the armor design Adol wore in the earlier Ys games for inspiration.

With all due respect, I am sorry to say you don’t seem to have much/any knowledge of armor. Going in order, maille - it’s french. That’s not “platemaille”, which is chainmaille with small plates worked in. Most men-at-arms (at least of the middle ages and high middle ages) wore harness of plate. Any man-at-arms wearing plate has chain protecting the joints where the plate does not.

Armored stallions for life. ;)
