Foal 1 (let’s just call her Twilight Sentry-Sparkle):
-Just a mashup of the parents
-Obvious Twilight recolor
-Markings when no one in the family has them (only do it for characters who’s parent are characters such as Troubleshoes, Pipsqueak, Sunburst, and maybe Luna)
-Name is a combination of both parents’ names
-Has mismatched eyes (it rarely works since the only times it worked were for Lopoddity’s Aerostorm or srbarker’s Iridescent)
Foal 2 (my Flashlight foal Apollo):
-Coat is mix of parents’ colors
-Not an alicorn
-Name is not a combo of parents’ names
-Eyes are not mismatched
-No markings
-Not a recolor
Don’t be afraid of being creative at all, so keep this in mind when working on a Fanfoal.

That’s most probably an exaggeration… or a compilation of as many “poorly designed OC” traits as the author could think of.
I’ve seen a few supposed Hippogriffs like that. Often with pony faces and assymetrical limbs.
