Correct, the core of my OC’s personality is that he is an absolute wreck when it comes to handling the opposite sex. Him being oversized was just something I added to make his shyness more humorous
 
As to why she is beat up, this is a few chapters after an encounter with an enemy that not only physically trounced her, but left a bit of an emotional scar as well, so Fleet is an it clingy ATM and Calm was assigned to keep an eye on her since She just happened to latch to him after refusing to be left out of… and that’s as far as I can go without spoiling more.
 
My OC isn’t a major character in the story nor is theee focus on him and Fleetfoot. There is just a running gag of him being in the background or taking on a brief minor role and having him become a flustered mess around Fleet.

I haven’t read the fanfic but from the authors homepage it is said that Fleetfoot is 24. She only looks young because Calm Wind is Troubleshoes level gigantic as seen:

So, I take it that abuse was involved in the story, along with Fleetfoot becoming younger?
