My guess is that people see that the art style itself is matching the art style of the show. But aren’t paying attention to the show’s physical proportions.

I see all these pics of fatass humanized ponies and it just makes me wonder what people find so hard to understand about the “show accurate” tag >_>

I meant “realistic” in the sense of less plastic-looking. In fact (IMO) the only thing I would change about this piece would be to give AJ a more mature looking face, like celestia, luna, and cadance’s in the Equestria girls universe. This is just my personal taste, but to me it looks like you’ve transplanted a teenage girls face onto an adult woman’s body.
 
Like I said, this is pretty much the only major criticism I have about this piece in particular. And I am glad that you’ve chosen to take your style in this new direction. I’d actually be interested to see what kind of bodytypes you’d give to the other characters.

Just hoping with time the usual style can improve and change peoples mind with time.

No offense annon, but I actually like this a lot better than your usual work. Her figure is more organic and the body proportions are actually more realistic. Hope to see more of this kind of style from you!
