It just came to mind because like, didn’t Rugrats do the same thing? Plus if they did start talking at that age, I could imagine it it be very much like Applejack in Apple Family Reunion.

Hm…That’s a good headcanon, actually.
I was thinking that too.
I would like to think that to everypony else and the viewer they’re just having normal baby talk. The show just made it them talk here so we could understand.
And it actually makes more sense.
And it didn’t take 9 seasons, to boot!It was funny hearing them talk, but overall, the scene was cute.
Well, for all we know, these two might have been at least four or five.
…Although, you could still argue they’re pretty smart for their age.
