Description
Another D&D artwork crossover. This one is a ponified version of The Forge of Fury cover art from Tales from the Yawning Portal.
Except the idea of ponies in this show not being able to eat meat is based on the misconception that horses in real life can not eat meat. The only thing stated on the show is that they are vegetarian (meaning they chose not to eat meat).
So no, they would not “die quickly while eating it” and the point wasn’t the quantity of the meat but that if horses can even eat small animals while alive they certainly wouldn’t have problems with digesting cooked meat.

Horses have even been known to eat small animals. Links to images have been posted on Derpibooru comments before.
These characters eat all sorts of things they shouldn’t.
And horses do eat meat, but sparingly.
