thinking of, I should make a CV like that too. I already have one for jobs I have to post but don’t really want, which does include things an employer don’t want and should not want to know.
@Prometheushunter2
As someone that was in charge of hiring people for my department at a software development studio for 4-5 years (until I changed jobs), “yes”.
I’ve seen all sorts of resumes/CVs, ranging from .txt files with no semblance of formatting to long-ass streams of consciousness to various forms of “proper” CVs and including lots of fanciful shit like this. The most common “original” CV style trending these days is the RPG character sheet, which as you can imagine by the name, uses a common (or new) RPG character sheets to describe the applicant, skills, and experience. if nothing else, it stands out.
“Odd” CVs were expected (and often encouraged by some universities), something like the above shows some more commitment to creating something unique and personal, and at the end of the day you’re a professional and you’re going to read through the actual text of every application any because you fucking need to hire someone.
That all said, this guy seems to be doing pretty well for himself, and I’m not sure if this is the copy he sent/sends out to employers or just the one he keeps on his site.
The sad part is that if this stuff is true then he is someone you might want in your computer compartment, but if your not even supposed to but even tiny decorations like small font changes there’s no way an employer would look st this for more than five seconds before going “NOPE” and throwing the whole stack out the window, and that five seconds would have been spent thinking “oh dear god why”. I don’t mean this to be insulting I mean this as cold truth. I mean would most people really be able to take a resume with decorations and general format based off a show who’s targeted demographic is 5-7 year-old children seriously
The funny thing is, the content of the resume itself is actually pretty good. Check out that gpa and the awards they got! If this weren’t so cringey, it’d be really good.
Looking at the actual resume, its pretty impressive. Who wouldn’t want someone who does “Out of the box” crap like this? Especially if you’re applying for some software company, often times they create things too “robotic”. Someone who is a bit weird and well educated would be a god send if you know what to do with them.
See, this is what bothers me a little. What if someone was genuinely smart, but made a silly resume, or otherwise act/show in a way that says otherwise?
It’s probably nothing and really shouldn’t be any of my business, but seeing examples pop up from time to time just brings a general disgust to me.

OK nevermind I read farther down the comments and saw it was apparently just a fun idea, not sent out.
Well, fuck my life, then.
Okay, fair point.

He publicly advertises himself like this, https://pjreddie.com/
He also seems to be more successful than 95% of this site’s userbase.

It was my own artwork though. Not recolored ponies.
Kinda thought so. But since I can’t edit, I meant mine was in CIS. Derp.
LOL I’m such a casual.

But if you want to assume that this is something he actually sends in, go ahead. He’s laughing at anyone that takes it seriously.
I would.
