If you find a lost pegasus foal that fell out of the nest and it is too young to be starting to fly, you should gently put it back in the nest, or in a basket tacked up the side of a tree if you can’t find or reach the actual nest. There is no truth to the rumor that the parents will reject it because it has your smell on it. Unless it is old enough to be fully feathered and learning to fly, then just leave it alone.

Not 100% dead for Apple Parents. 90% probability but they could still retcon them as alive if they chose.
 
And Scoots parents were not confirmed to be dead or not care about her since all that was said was that they weren’t around to cheer for her like Dash’‘s terrible parents, while Faust isn’t an authority in the show anymore we have seen Scoots room and it is clear she is well cared for which means it’s most likely her parents do just have demanding jobs and or jobs that require they travel around a lot.

Scootaloo actually lives in Cloudsdsle but fell and can’t fly home. Her parents are so busy they just haven’t noticed she is gone and have been making food for a half full potato sack. Which is getting straight A’s in Cloudsdale school.

The more the show gives us, the more we demand.

I was thinking the same thing, actually. It would make for a pretty interesting episode, and give us confirmation on her parents.

No wonder she latched so hard onto Rainbow Dash’s parents. Now I wonder if her parental issues could be the subject of a future episode.

They also trust you enough for you to leave you with your sister on your idea while they’re on vacation, and put up with your horrible cooking.
 
And if Faust is to be believed, Scootaloo’s parents apparently don’t have the time to take care of her.  

at least it ain’t as bad as disney. if you’re born in disney, then consider your mom dead and buried.

Sweetie’s parents love her so much they leave her with her sister when they go on holiday. 
In fact I think Sweetie Belle has her own room at rarity’s house
