Octavia: “Where’s that idiot of Van Hoofsing when you need him?!”

Octavias in the wild are rare beasts, known for their beautiful grey coats, long black manes, elegant pink bow ties, and icy indifference towards anything that became popular after the nineteenth century. Wild Octavias are naturally reclusive creatures, preferring to isolate themselves within their territory and spend the hours of the day playing cello or drinking tea. An Octavia will rarely leave the confines of her solarium or concert hall, except for her daily leisurely perambulation through the local conservatory.
 
Here we see a wild Octavia, an Octavia philharmonicus, on one such daily patrol of her territory. She has come across an unexpected sight: her mate in close proximity to a rival female.
 
Octavias are by nature solitary creatures, but occasionally an Octavia will choose a mate. Octavias will bond for life, and will battle fiercely to protect what they consider to be their own. A Flutterbat has chosen to violate our Octavia’s territory, and as is clear from the lowered brow, down-turned lip, and raised hindquarters of Octavia, a fight is in the making!
