Situations similar to this have been more common lately with people throwing out accusations against various artists about tracing due to their poses being similar, or involving the same sexual position, or because both images were based on a third original vector, what have you.
 
And so I had responded to you more forcefully than I should have.

with a reference as heavy as this, would it be possible to ask for the artist/uploader to add the original in the description of credit purposes?

I agree with jet, this looks like a referenced work instead of a trace.  
Dont get too zealous on the topic tho.  
We managed to get some rules against it on the site, but it’s no reason to go on a wotch hunt

Imo it’s simply a case of common courtesy to mention the other artist right out of the gate when going out of your way to reference it to this degree. It’s a bit rude not to. But close references should be fine. I fail to see the reasoning behind the defensiveness when meeting it with chill neutrality would’ve been a much more effective defuser. Just throw in some credit in the description and you’ll be completely fine.

I did not use the word “steal”, but “copy”. By all means people are allowed to use others drawings for references, but this whole ordeal could’ve been avoided if Age had put “Based on acersiii’s gif”

Please do not accuse other of “stealing” ideas or poses.  
There is no claim over a pose or animation.
 
If this were simply a recolor, you would have some weight to your argument. But that is not the case for this image.

Please do not tag artists on images unless they were actually part of the creation of the image itself.

that artist does not hold the rights of the idea.  
i did not copy him, i just made it like his animation.

and you should go cool the hell down. your acting like redrawing it is bad. and yet your ok with tracing.
 
you know the difference right? one is using the same dimensions of the original. (for example show assets)
 
the other, like age’s, is using their own assets they made.(aka everyone else) with only the pose being similar.
 
also i did send askii messages, so how about you seriously go calm down.

And judging by your icon, you were the commissioner, if this is a case of you wanted them to copy the idea, it might be a good idea the age specifies that, to prevent this kind of thing again.

I just posted the coloured one by the original artist. I’m aware others have recoloured it before, but just out right redrawing it, especially as a commission, is pretty low.

at least age made his own assets instead of trace copying it.
