The so-called “Kekistan flag” is loosely based on the 1935-1938 design of the (Nazi) German war-ensign, or Reichskriegsflagge. I’m sure it was originally conceived as a joke (especially to rattle the cages of the self-appointed political-correctness moral guardians, and not due to any actual conceived/perceived right-wing sympathies. Most 4-chan users are the type who love to rattle people’s cages to begin with.
The fact that they would think Kekistan is a pro-identitarian meme is hilarious.
There are some white supremacists and other assorted scum in the fandom, yeah. I don’t know how you can be a fan of MLP:FiM, which celebrates diversity, acceptance, and friendship, while also being a racist, but…
I perused the source link, but I couldn’t get a feel for the group’s views other than that it appears to be some variation internet-age conservatism.
