Then i did see the correct part, he was just normally sleeping. The gag was that he worked so hard he’s dreaming his work.

She herself was sleeping in the scene so it most likely implies she put him to bed after he himself worked his bones off (just like in owl’s well ends well), then she kept working herself but fell asleep. Just like in earlier seasons.

So its very likely she didn’t do it.

Not sure about the time stamp, but here’s the dialog from the part I was thinking of:

Twilight Sparkle: Huh?! Spike?
Spike: [snores] Check-check-check-check-check-check…
Twilight Sparkle: Spike!
Spike: Ungh… What time is it?
Twilight Sparkle: It’s the middle of the night! But it could be morning. That’s just it! I can’t tell!
Spike: Whoa. That is weird.
Twilight Sparkle: Come on, Spike, we have to find out what’s going on.

In Princess Twilight Sparkle, Part 1 he’s up so late working with her that he’s asleep on his feet. Twilight remarks that it’s so late that it should be morning. Bit past a ten-year-old’s bedtime, I’d say.

Twilight worked him to exhaustion again… which episode was it where she had the poor kid up at four in the morning? I remember they were in Canterlot or someplace, and Celestia came to check on them.
