There’s definitely the potencial for a good look with the old colors but his design was made with his new colors in mind so just applying the old ones does not yield the best results although it doesn’t look too bad either.

It’d wprk for the regular Lings, but like Chrysalis compared to her swarm, thorax needs those few little details she had over them with the extra design complexity.
The gradiant on the elytra and the like made Chrysalis look coherent and more complete/powerful then her kin.
Yea, it does look kind of weird…
Though some people really dislike the new colors, so this one’s for them.
