Simple stage names yet are very fun to play. The final bosses are some of the best in any Shoot’em up’s.
I haven’t seen the double X’s and so on and so forth.
I still love how they labeled the levels “A”, “B”, “C” and so on… and then ge=ot to the end and ran out of letters before they’re done. “Screw it. There’ll be two Xs, Ys and Zs.” Don’t think I ever saw more than three of the final levels, looking back on it.

No argument from me, the gameplay is definitely faster compared to the first game and had so many more stages to complete! On top of those stages, were the end bosses, so many to choose from.

That’s another Taito classic that I wish to play. I like the mechanics and the ship itself looks awesome!
The rest of that compilation isn’t to be ignored either. It’s a really good collection.
Also has “Raystorm” on it too, another favourite shooter of mine.
The second is definitely my favorite.
Definitely going to look for that! I’ve seen gameplay of both games and They’re so good.

The first and second aged so well! Those are the two that I wish to play.
I still have my old ps2. The only thing I play on it is “fire warrior” which is a Warhammer 40k game.
Well, if you can get your hands on an old PS2, or one of the newer machines that’s backwards compatible, try finding “Taito Legends 2”. It’s a compilation of many old arcade games, but Darius Gaiden and G Darius are on that disk.
Still a favourite of mine.
I never got to play them in the arcades. Didn’t even know they were originally arcade titles until a few years ago.
I wish Sony could release the original Arcades on their PSN store, same with the other games.
