Good explanation for why s6 was so poor
I think S7 was made out of a lot of left over ideas from S6. Stuff they couldn’t fit in. Probably even from way earlier seasons like the one Larson is denying he wrote.
6 was kind of a meh season.
7 just keeps slugging home runs, right out of the park.
Season 7 seems to be doing a lot of things that should have happened in season 6 to be honest.

Me. I was expecting Sunburst to appear in Shadow Play and Uncommon Bond be a Twilight and Spike episode. Starlight and Sunburst’s relationship story arc has been wrapped up since the premier of Season 6. (And in relation, Starlight’s story arc got wrapped up there as well, IMO.) Other than inserting more details in their backstory, no one was expecting them to return to this and expand upon it because when they parted ways, they were in good terms.
Which is bs btw. :P
Dude, chill, I wasn’t implying actual romantic involvement or interest with either of them, I was simply agreeing that the role matches Sunburst’s existance when tied to Starlight. His existance in the show is tied to Starlight, that’s all I was trying to say….
…which. might I add, is kind of a pity. Maybe it’s the Dominic Deegan fan in me, but I really like the idea of the magic scholar who isn’t as much of a caster himself. He would make a great standalone character not just tied to starlight. But then it’s overshadowed by starlight being able to do and know ‘almost’ anything with magic, even cast a spell that even the two alicorn sisters can’t dispell.
Well, I think the synopsis says it. Starlight and Sunburst don’t have anything in common anymore at face value but most likely, they’re still gonna be friends. Thus its an “Uncommon Bond.”
Not necessarily. May Starlight will learn to share her friends, and that friendship is even more ‘magical’ when they’re all friends with each other.
I don’t think Starlight/Sunburst is particularly uncommon. That gang of misfits being friends? That is.
Seems pretty accurate to me.
The most possible to appear would be Spike and Twilight because they’re regulars. Trixie is 50/50 while Thorax and Maud would be wishful thinking if they do appear.
None the less, its safe to say that “Uncommon Bond” is referring to Starlight and Sunburst’s bond with each other and no one else’s.
If I were to name Starlight’s friends, I would say Spike, Trixie, Twilight, Thorax, Maud.
Honestly, they would all get along pretty well with Sunburst.
That’s kind of sad since both of Starlight’s satelite characters, Sunburst and Trixie, can very well hold their own without Starlight.

Lol. The synopsis might be referring to Twilight. If that’s the case, it might resemble a platonic version of that Triggered fanfic. That would be hilarious.

My 2nd otp. Is it finally not gonna be a crack ship? Will Trixie and Sunburst finally have interaction? Unless they mean “Starlight’s friends” as the mane 6 or this is a fake synopsis, I’ll be disapoint.
This is also an opportunity to see Starlight and Sunburst’s back story.
