An app store with extremely high standards for inclusion of an app
 
An app store with well-organized, genuinely useful tools and programs you can easily find without having to slog through thousands of bullshit apps just trying to push ads on your phone and collect your personal information
 
An app store that only allows games you pay for once, with no blatantly exploitative microtransaction bullshit like paying for extra lives
 
An app store that rejects and blacklists developers who submit games like “Worldmine farm CRAFT THEFT AUTO: ZOMBIES (requires all permissions)” and other clickbait copycats

Google Play Store is surprisingly the king of hosting fake knock-off games. (I’m quite surprised they get away with it, with hardly any legal issues.)

While choosing is already made easy by the canon vs. non-canon art style, the fact which apps use the official trademark name and logo makes it even easier.
 
The later could be seen e.g. when reddit changed its policies on third-party content and all reddit apps on the app stores (there wasn’t an official one back then, just several competing ones created by the community) rebranded to stop using the name “reddit” and their “Snoo” alien character, where applicable.
