perhaps neglecting to mention that he accidentally entered the staging area with his stolen credentials, and in his panicked escape may have accidentally leaped at princess luna, and the knife in his mouth, he was just holding for a friend you see. nothing but a big misunderstanding! ha ha ha ha ha
 
seriously though, skygge’s not telling the whole story here. they would falsely accuse him of that, but I think they’d have had another reason. he was tied to an anti-royal organization like ruby was, or he had family in the mafia and the govt was making an example of him to keep them under control, or he was like, a street preacher shouting all day about how princess nightmaremoon abandoned him and is oppressing his people. I dunno, seems sketchy that he’d go to a secret prison for nothing other than pickpocketing a badge that he never tried to use.
 
anyway, interesting character. I’m probably reading way too much into his motivation.
