The sirens showed up. EQG is canon. Always has been. The creators have said so even before this.
Ok, it may not matter anymore. But it’s just wishful thinking either way, isn’t it? They didn’t actually show anything. The sirens are now as canon as Twilight who was canon to MLP and then went to EQG. But Twilight being canon doesn’t say anything about EQG. And of course the sirens are the same from EQG because that’s where they first appeared. If they had said something along the lines of them being banished to the human world. Not yet, tho.

That was 4 years ago. Things change and stuff shown in the show itself after the fact would override anything said years ago.
If you insist on canon for no reason that makes you as bad and “salty” as someone who insists on non-canon for no reason and the writers just said that the events of EQG will not effect the events of MLP.

It’s still nowhere near as tangled up as what everyone considered canon in the old Star Wars E.U (Or Legends as it is known as now).
Honestly if someone wants to discuss the lore but can’t bring themselves to accept canon then their opinion shouldn’t be held on the same regard as others’. Especially since most people denying this are either salty idiots or just trolls.
If this was a situation like the IDW comics (afaik lol, dunno if it’s been referenced in the show) or back when EQG was mostly self-contained then maybe I would have agreed, but EQG is absolutely canon now and anyone who doesn’t accept it doesn’t really have any right to have their opinions and arguments about the show valued the same as everyone else’s. Not if they’re being so anal about it.

There are still people who are interested in actual discussion who want to deny that EqG is canon.
I don’t agree with them, but just shrugging them off is a bad practice that can lead to shutting out all criticism just because you think it sounds silly.

People will still say it’s not canon to get a rise out of others. It has nothing to do with genuinely thinking it’s not canon anymore, but everything to do with the fact that saying it’s not canon has been a sore point for Equestria Girls fans since the series first came into existence.
You guys should stop taking them so seriously, because we can see they’re just making themselves look extremely foolish at this point. At least just reply only once with the irrefutable evidence like in

and then ignore them afterwards. They’ve had irrefutable evidence before in the form of the FUCKING WRITERS AND HASBRO outright saying it was canon, yet they still pretended it wasn’t canon in response because they knew it’d get a rise out of you.
Any replies past posting the evidence is being just as foolish as the trolls are, perhaps more so, because at least the trolls are in control of their actions, while the people who mindlessly reply to them are not. Them posting anonymously is a sign of their ill intent. Anonymity, the heraldry of the cowardly little troll.

Here we have characters that were made for Equestria Girls being banished in the way that was said in the movie (The Only deviation is that is that it features characters that the ponies didn’t think actually existed) and the Script also refers to them as the ones from eqg 2
