I believe the bible only described the main casts to have the mentalities of teenagers, behavior wise. But they are socially treated as adults in the series.

No. If anything the human world runs slower. Since the start of the franchise, a single year has passed for Sunset.
 
Yet the main series has implied several times that years have passed since the start of the show and this season (characters refer to years passing without being specific, and we’ve seen at least some seasonal events that repeated).

Nearly all fan-made age charts make me puke. Yeah, a majority of their culture is based on the mid-to-late second millennium, which maintained that adulthoood began at 12-13-ish until near the beginning of the 20th century. 16-20 is a good range for a colonial-esque society :3

What we know:  
-Sunset was Celestia’s student before Twilight and the two didn’t meet or were aware of each other.  
-At least four years passed for Sunset in the human world before EG1 happened  
There is at most a minor time-displacement going on - Whenever we saw both sides of the mirror they went roughly in sync. The first three movies as well as that special potentially implied the human verse runs a bit faster (ergo Sunset is friggin’ ancient compared to Twi), so if there’s timey-wimey stuff going on, it’s in the other direction
 
If Sunset is only marginally older than Twilight, she ought to have gotten her CM shortly before Twilight and then immediately crossed dimensions with both universes running on the same temporal dimension. Otherwise ‘a bit’ could as well mean ‘multiple bytes’.

But seeing how OG SunLight is best ship, I stay with ‘a bit’ meaning ‘a bit’.

I don’t see how a bit can imply a large amount in this context. He meant a bit as in a small amount. The comic has never been stated to be canon to the movie and especially not the show. Rudell also said Sunset’s age is around 17 years old. Since we don’t know the actual status of the comic, IIRC no one has said it’s canon and it’s up in the air, I think it’s safe to take the director of the movie’s word over that of the comic.

“A bit” can imply a lot of things. I can imply a small amount, or sarcastically imply a large amount. The comics (canon until the show directly contradicts it like with “Shadow Play”) put her at around Twilight’s current age when Twi was a blank flanked filly. I’d say 5 year difference bare minimum (this was before teens were given a unique body type). That’s not getting into the prospects of different flows of time between worlds (necessary to rationalize anything larger).

At the beginning of the show they are clearly teens, but time has past since then.

Yeah, I think them being late teenagers wouldn’t be out of the question. It may line up with the EqG ages too.  
I think people forget that Equestria has no high school phase, the ponies go straight to adulthood during their teen years.

If I remember right Faust and McCarthy said they are in their late teens/early twenties.

I don’t think so. IIRC we don’t know exactly how old Twilight is. Faust said on DA that she considered them to be teenagers, I think it was around 13-17 or something, and the leaked show bible said they’re teens.

Didn’t he also say that Twilight is 23 or so?

I guess Twilight had a pretty big growth spurt past her teen years.
