You know by the end of the movie that currency is worthless since there’s no empire around to honor it. It’d be just about as useful as toilet paper or kindling.
It’s a token, not a currency
Cappe has to pay, so he needs Storm Bucks
And it keeps getting worse. In the last part of this quest, they give you so little time to unlock Capper that it pretty much requires spending $100+ (either on characters or gems). And then you still just barely get him.
And then there was the mission where you either wait five days or spend over 100 gems to skip it.
