I haven’t watched them yet. But if the screenshots from them are proof… I might like them more than G4.
 
Mainly because of how much more intense these were compared to now.

Yeah, true on both counts. (I actually had an Arthur book as a kid.)
 
As a kid I actually liked alot of cartoons & movies that were both cute & dark at the same time. Like Don Bluth movies, and “Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland.”

One guy here told me the facial expressions scared him and are partly why he doesn’t like to watch it anymore.  
I don’t get that, as I always liked the silly exaggerated cartoony expressions, and they never really get to very disturbing/edgy levels like SpongeBob, or Ren & Stimpy. At least MLP still keeps it’s innocence, despite it’s edgy moments.
 
If there were no edge, or dark moments, it’d just be like some boring PBS kid show.
