I’m not talking about you using the term “relationship”, I’m talking about how you say “let’s see how it pans out.” When you say that, it suggests you anticipate some change in the nature of their relationship. Of course, I might be reading too much between the lines.
 
I’m not even trying to shut down StarBurst fans or anything, I just find that bronies tend to assume way too quickly that two characters are romantically attached to each other/will be romantically attached to each other. You’d think they’d have learned their lesson from Big Mac after he dated someone who wasn’t Cheerilee or Pinkie Pie’s sister.

Ok fine, lets see how their friendship pans out. Are happy now? A friendship and even family is still a form of a relationship. It does not always automatically imply romantic. Lol. I never even implied they’re romantic. In fact I refered to them as friends. Lol. I got in your head just like I planned. So easy.

Yeah no, I’m not going to touch that one (that discussion).

When you say “let’s see how that relationship pans out,” you’re basically implying you expect it to become a romantic one. Incidentally, no one but you seems to be triggered, as despite your claim otherwise, you don’t seem too happy with being told that whatever is going on between Sunburst and Starlight might not be romantic. I’m not saying it can’t happen, I’m just stating the fact that fans assume anytime two characters are friends they also must secretly want to kiss each other.
 
Also, Sunburst is not a neglectful friend. He got caught up in making new friends and doing things that interested him. We’ve all done it once or twice.

Wanna know what’s really annoying and obnoxious? People getting triggered about what other people like/hate about something. Live and let live. We’re not a hive mind.
 
From what I can tell with the comments in this post, nothing suggests the people below believe Starlight and Sunburst are in a romantic relationship in canon. Its just shipping. In canon, she is a clingy friend while he is a neglectful one until he gets a rude awakening. Lets see how that relationship pans out later on.

People seem convinced that Starlight and Sunburst are in a relationship but they’re just friends. Not to say that a romance couldn’t spring from that, but that’s basically the same thing as people who assumed Big Mac and Cheerilee were an item.

Its one thing that Starlight’s friends unintentionally intruded in on her bonding time with Sunburst but what if it was a pony Starlight doesn’t know? What if said pony even tries to convince Sunburst to stay away from Starlight because of reasons. I wonder how that would pan out.
 
Twilight already went through that being overly protective of her brother during his wedding. But unlike Twi, Starlight already experienced losing Sunburst once, turning her into a super villain. Lets see what future episodes focusing on Starlight and Sunburst’s relationship looks like.
