The more a character gets featured, the more art of them get’s made, not really that hard :/

That’s kinda what I’ve been referring to with the Project Horizons Effect in the past: The proportions of character art, including brand new characters, have reached a demigod status quo.

I don’t see this changing much. Scoots will almost certainly beat Derpy by the end of Season 8, but I doubt Sunset can do the same. And Starlight isn’t going to beat Apple Bloom.
 
The upper levels have been pretty stable for this website’s entire history.

Sunset Shimmer is at 41373, beating Apple Bloom at 38635 and Sweetie Belle at 39562. Starlight Glimmer still just drops off the bottom at 29639. Scoots holds onto her spot at 42444, almost catching up to Derpy at 42505.
 
Everyone else is the same as far as I can see.

Now that Season 8 is over, how about starting another chart?

All I know is that I came in at Dragonshy, and everyone was already calling them Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.

Well, before being formally revealed they were only seen like half a second so probably not much?  
Remember, they were edited into Archer and Sun Glimmer in class.
 
But yeah, they’d probably have been called by the same names due to being near identical to their G3 selves anyway.

Considering the only other character who didn’t appear in the pilot is Trixie, and Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Derpy are the only others who didn’t have a speaking role… Sidenote, what did fans call Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo before they were formally revealed? I’m curious.

Sunny’s doing good for someone who first appeared between seasons three and four.

Using the Everything filter and -screenshot search:  
. Twilight Sparkle has 174,449 (~89% non-screenshot)  
. Rainbow Dash 144,226 (~91%)

So the numbers are semi-accurate. There’s also no accounting for incorrectly tagged images.

Personally I find the 1st edition Protag to be very overrated and the pretty OP. First edition had many cute moments but they used too much purple. 2/10
 
They learned their lesson when releasing 2nd addition Protag and changed up the colors, going with red and yellow, and while 2nd addition didn’t have time to have as many adventures they kept the cuteness.
 
But 3rd addition Protag is a hot mess, and not in a good way. They try to fool you that they’re not using too much purple by using pink, we all see what they’re doing. They try to make 3rd addition equal to 1st edition. But that’s impossible.

As mentioned previously, Glimmer and Sunset are the only two post season 3 characters to get anywhere near this list. Sunset Shimmer was revealed in 2013, which means she’s got a whole two years of fanart on the 2015 Starlight.

I am curious why Glimmer isn’t on the list hah.

Are these with the screencap tag on or off? I’d be interesting to see how much actual fanart the characters get.

Geez, Twilight’s eclipsing the rest by an insane margin.
 
I’d wager that within the next year, she’ll have over 100,000 more images than AJ and Rarity.
