I wouldn’t normally create this gif from the video (submitted here >>1579228 ), but the fact people in a short period of time created several screencap comics essentially attacking the Sci-Twi x Sunset ship:

Seriously guys/gals, you can be happy Twilight is with Timber, but I think several comics (in a short period of time) to flaunt it to specific shippers, is a bit much. But YMMV.

Yeah, I know, using the argument representations of homosexuality will influence the kids sexuaity, is absurd.
A newer incarnation of it, which I saddly encountered on derpibooru, is that homosexuality shouldn’t be presented in kids cartoons, as it will misinform kids, and not properly present homosexuality, and that kids will not understand homosexuality. This is quite absurd, seeing in Japanese anime, and French targeted towards 6-8 year olds, there are presentations of homosexuality, and the kids somehow understand it. Not to mention, cartoons presenting homosexual relationships, or LGBT characters, can be positivelly educational, as it would help kids understand such things exist, and are normal. And kids also somehow can deal with their own parents, or parents of their friends being in same sex relationships.
Again though, that argument is just the “gay characters would turn their kids gay” argument you brought up, just with a new coat of paint…

Oh yeah, Mangaverse Punisher is also wierdly awesome (as is the Mangaverse to be fair). And that’s an interesting idea.
oh i know all about that weird junk though i think the favorite is Earth-2301’s punisher just for the weirdness. but for real i’d be down for, like, an older black guy punisher.
Yeah, but then the Punisher was turned into a lot of stuff - including an angelic, resurrected avenger hunting demons, who were retconned as being connected to his family’s death. No, seriously

I think it’s YMMV vary thing. It’s like saying Teen Titans Cyborg’s issues with being, well a cyborg, are less subtle due to him being black. But again, YMMV.

I think it is a little dramatic to some people when you look at the movies.
Since Rowling stated Hermione being black, I can imagine that some see those as whitewashing now.

Oh you mean that. To be fair, i saw it more as Rowling trying to calm people about a black actress playing Hermionne in the play, as it really unnerved people, as well as Rowling liking several fan arts of a black Hermionne, that were created due to the casting (if I remember right).
And to be fair, I don’t it was THAT dramatic of a change.
i was actually talking about turning hermione black for that one book and don’t take this as a “blah black people!” it’s a
“wow that’s kind dumb and makes her mudblood thing really on ham fisted” thing.

Yes, Dumbledore was demonized by Skeeter for (on the outside at least) other things, but the paraelells are there.This was something noticed as far, as in 2007:

As detailed here, Rita can easily come of as accusing Dumbledore of pedophilliac/ephebophiliac feelings towards Harry, because of his homosexuality:

I know all of that, and I seriously can not believe that this form of censorship is still a thing in 2017.
That some people still believe seeing gay characters would turn their kids gay is just so dumb.
By that logic, I would be straight now. xD

no cus it means that you couldn’t bother to put in such crucial character traits as you were writing. image if we got the “vader is luke’s father” revile over…i don’t know? 1970’s twitter?
Oh, ok I understand.
But really, it’s kinda more of many companies, or publishers still fearing having a nonstraight character, or a LGBT romance, especially in cartoons (primarily aimed at children). Especially that many countries would flat out refuse to show the cartoobs at all, if such thing was done.
Even progressive shows, like Steven Universe, had to make Gems “sexless”, if having a feminine identity, and using female pronouns, or Marceline and Bubblegum, are stated to have an on and of romance by the creators, but cannot be confirm it explicedly during the cartoon (although they have many, MANY not that even sometimes subtle suggestions about their relationship).
And to be clear, I also thought about Marceline and Bubblegum, rather than Korra and Asami were, the relationship between the two was revealed by creators during the show’s run.

Well, to be fair, we had still quite a bit of “smaller” moments - Sunset and Twilight have chemistry, still having the most eye contact out of the group, and interractions, and even outside Monday Blues we have stuff like Sunset rushing first to catch Sci-Twi in Mirror Magic, in the Finals Countdown Sunset and Twilight playing chess and having fun together instead of learning like with other girls (although that’s due to how just smart Sunset is - althought it’s interesting the writers pointed out Sunset can keep up naturally with Sunset, but Timber has to do extra learning to impress Twi…), or despite many holding Good Vibes as Flash x Sunset material, Sunset turns her 100% attention to Sci-Twi the moment she arrives :)
Well, I also retained my attention to Equestria Girls, thanks to Sunset, but the series grew itself on me, and I now like it on it’s own.

Well, I don’t deny FlashLight fans have it hard, but I was just a bit annoyed that several anti-Sci-Twi x Sunset screencap comics, were made within a short period of time, all based on screencaps from one comic.
And that’s not even mentioning the lack of creativity with those comics, as all are essentially, interchangable.
Flashimmer as technically still more of a chance to become canon than Sunlight, tho.
