I think Twilight and Sunset share Flash. Twilight gets him on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and on Sunday mornings. Sunset gets him on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sunday nights.

I am not for sunsetsparkle but this managed to tick me off.

Also, I am not saying that they got shipped with Twi (although there are ships like Twiburst and TwiSpike)

I was making a joke. Teasing. You do have to admit Sunset is much closer to the Twilights than she is to her other friends, though not necessarily in that way.
 
Also, Spike and Sunburst tend to be shipped with Rarity and Starlight, respectively, far more often than with Twilight, so I’m not sure how valid that analogy is.

Because according to writers and creators, if it’s made for a certain target demographic, they develop a character of the same gender as the target demographic and just that as long as the character is important and is the main character. That worked well for Naruto as well, much to the hate of Sakura and Hinata with fans shipping NaruSasu. So same can be with MLP, with well-written protagonists like Sun&Twi, Rarity&AJ and Starlight&Trixie being shipped with Spike, Flash and Sunburst being in the same position as Hinata or Sakura.
