You enjoying pony abuse? Jeez. Man.
No. My brain has been switched into battle mode. It may not take anything you say less than entirely seriously :p
I mean stuff like this bothers me, too, sometimes, but being a creator of fiction means you are the god of that universe, and if the god is cruel, there’s not much poor Dash can do, but on the flipside, her canonical god is ultimately kind and will end the episode or two-parter with her being happy, and many others are as well.
I’m bringing a Dash back from the dead in a multiplayer game with like 8 people by everyone agreeing we can edit the save game file to hack her back to life as an alicorn, if that’s any consolation.
Though mostly she died because the player who had her as a game asset missed a game session and crap happened that really shouldn’t have.
I just thought that was funny because that’s what I got going on right now, and it has to do with Dash and cosmic entities beyond her plane of existence directly manipulating her reality :p
It’s later. I’m the “Humble Dash-worshipper”, not a “Humble Dash worshipper”. One small dash makes a HUGE difference (heh)!
Oh, and the last sentence in my previous comment wasn’t meant to be taken entirely seriously, just saying…
Headcanon.
Wrong.
Pick one.
Also your tag says you should love this image. It has “humble Dash” in it. Or you mean to call yourself humble…
You were doing sooooo well right up until the end where you implied your headcanon is also fact.
Well, in the world where the third of population have supper strength as their power, any rope worth its money should be pretty strong (either by mundane or magical means).
The all Sonic Rainboom thing could be easily explained by Pegasi’ flight being less physical and more manifestation of the Pegasi’ innate magic.
As I said earlier, back when she fought Manticore she still was relatively inexperienced at this kind of things. And, while she could, of course, just rainnuke Alicorn Amulet-wielding Trixie, doing so in the crowded city would inevitably lead to severe civilian causalities. Beside, it’s kinda rude to defeat your best friend’s nemesis yourself.
I doubt Starlight would pose any treat to Dash in a direct fight, she had problems hitting both Pharynx and (much worse flyer) Twilight in their respective encounters. Dash just won’t give her time to cast anything complicated and easily avoids any standard beam attack.
Applejack bucks strong enough to shake apples from the trees. And while Dash’s hind legs, of course, not as strong as hers, I believe they still pack enough power to incapacitate a person, if being applied to said person’s… sensitive areas. Of course she should carefully pick the right time to strike, when her opponent expects it the least.
Dropping the stone from the roof is pretty easy indeed. Catching it mid-air and than throwing it some distance is, on the other hand, kinda harder.
So, I’ll stick to my headcanon of Dash being Überpony, thank you! Buut, if your or the artist’s headcanons are different, it’s all-right! Wrong but still all-right!
If we’re realistic, her ability to break the wooden beams in AJ’s old barn and survive that explosion in Lesson Zero, and what she does with the rock here, would make her easily strong enough to break her bonds all the times she’s been tied up. Or at least some of them, without a doubt. And certainly too strong to be held captive by those changelings in A Canterlot Wedding.
Same is especially true for AJ when she kicked that huge boulder in that same episode, and the few times she’s ended up tied up, or otherwise too weak to resolve a situation.
Point is, the show is inconsistent with their abilities. The greatest feat she’s done is almost certainly surviving the Sonic Rainnuke, and the 2nd is using her forehooves as a drag-reducing aerospike when doing a sonic rainboom:
The amount of dynamic pressure (which is just force of wind per area) on them is about 150x sticking your hand out the window doing 60mph on the freeway, if you assume she barely hits mach 1.
If you take the shock cone angle literally and say it’s mach 5, then it’d be about 6,500x the dynamic pressure of wind when you’re doing 60 mph in your car.
And yet she isn’t a demigod that could splat the Manticore or evil Trixie or Starlight.
So, you kind of have to pick which interpretation of her you’re using. A horse’s kick is so deadly because they’re huge animals. Dash here is smol, and clearly more of the Dash that was tied up a few times. And I at least know if I had a defiant dog do a sudden spin or something otherwise erratic I’d yank the chain away immediately and step back if they had a powerful kick.
You can pretend Dash here is a demigod with hooves that can hold up to a mach 5 wind, but it seems pretty likely the artist intended the Dash that got captured by Cabelaron like 3 times.
And if I’m two stories above someone, then I, too, could drop a lethally heavy rock on them, not that Dash intended to kill :q
But, I kind of like to brush aside grossly inconsistent things like that and just accept the things really important to the plot, like how she couldn’t defeat all the things that beat her. And far more realistic, to boot. I can accept magic, but I’d like to keep magic to magic. Just because a unicorn can cast spells doesn’t mean you can suddenly throw 200 tons. I like to imagine some consistency, even if I have to brush a lot of minor things off as cartoon styling, like throwing a huge rock super far.

Yeah
Dash has the highest muscle density
Actually, in the season 7 finale she snatched the stone Garble had thrown at the Spike out of the air and smashed said Garble with it pretty neatly:
And, being the horse, she still has her back hooves. One buck in the crotch area would effectively incapacitate even the strongest man, no less effectively than a dog bite.
As I said earlier, it… entertains me sometimes to point out the obvious logical flaws in images, it’s not that I have something against the creator’s freedom or “dark” images in particular…
:)
Oh I know I just wanted to respond since you commented that nobody liked your meme lol
Just a meme
And you recall how that went, right?
I don’t recall Dash ever fighting him head-on. She and Spike tricked him out of the shield in the latest finale but aside from running from him and his gang, that’s it.
In a fair fight with wings and no leash and collar the might be able to beat people up if she’s massive enough. But a mouse sized Dash can’t for sure, so at a certain point being small makes fighting very hard, you must admit. And at what size is she big enough? Cat-sized? German Shepherd-sized? Tiger-sized, at least, definitely. But also remember what makes dogs so lethal is their bite.
She doesn’t have canine incisors, and though she does have hooves, they’re also essentially fingernails and there’s a big difference in-between hitting someone with a brick and throwing your phone, and that difference is mass, so her size will count for about everything.
But on top of her small size, her wings appear useless, her spirit broken, and she’s essentially wearing a noose around her neck with chain, no less. I’ve geometrically shown how he can basically hang her out of her reach, yet you still say she could easily beat him, so I think we’re past the point of rationality, here.
But why even bother consoling yourself on this when there’s 150 semi and grimdark “dashabuse” images? And for all we know he’s an abusive dad she won’t hit, or she’s genetically engineered or drugged to submission, or she’s relying on him for shelter and food or the police or mafia would execute her for fighting back - or the guy’s a double agent about to save her right as she thinks she’s gonna get snuffed, or it’s a happy relationship with roleplay or he just gave her bad news and she’s a pet or - any number of things.
But if it troubles you so much imagine any of those things. Or remember it’s just fan art and no being can overpower the divine hand of the artist that draws them, and canon dash is safe and sound, snoozing on a cloud or in her locked bedroom giving a tutu a twirl. Or in the quantum superposition of waiting for the next episode to come out where she’ll be on another canon-esque, TV-Y adventure.
Or if you want some real nice realism, think of where some athlete you knew in high school is right now, preferably female, and imagine she’s doing the same. Sleeping in on a Sunday or eating lunch or something.
Then donate a few bucks to some anti human trafficking fund to help FBI agents get the resources they need to save the real characters in situations way worse than what this artist has drawn. Those things are more legit than you think.

AJ In “Fall Weather Friends” jumped on her back right after Dash freed her wings, so the later had no time to react.
In “Read it and Weep” she had no intention to fight anyone in the first place (cause beating up the doctors who just finished patching her up would be kinda jerkass thing to do…), she just tried to get out unnoticed or, at the very least, unrecognised.
Manticore (just like Dragon or hydra or that… bear thing Mane Six fought in e100) belongs to a category of epic monsters, who are indeed a bit to much for one pony (besides, Dash was relatively inexperienced at fighting such a things back than).
In the Crystal War timeline she needed to be rescued only because she hadn’t seen the stone falling on her (she was on the ground, so, just like in a “Stranger than Fanfiction” her hyper-awareness hadn’t worked).
Some breeds of dogs roughly this size are perfectly capable of ripping even the trained man to shreds - and they, unlike her, are not fully sapient beings.
So, while waiting for the right conditions, of course, would be a preferable course of actions for her, I believe she’s fully capable of beating him into the pulp in a very short order.
(Also, speaking of relative sizes, the man here is closer to Garble than manticore in comparison to Dash).
True, the show staff have been very kind to us with funny jokes involving rope. I like the harmless humor of getting tied up!
hm, consensual tears from spanking, perhaps?!
Well you’re not wrong, season 1 did have ponies get bound a lot. But even recently we’ve even gotten a direct nod to that corner of the fandom with the Daring Do pillow.
Not to mention the time RD heard their calls and came down to Twi and AJ tied to that tree and guessed they tied themselves up and burst out laughing. That was such a “sneaking past the radar” moment.
It’s actually kinda nice to imagine this image is actually purely consensual, since that’s preferable over the alternative
The tears would suggest otherwise, though, unless she’s just gotten off talking about something else, heh

We can’t delete this image.
@Cirrus Light
Oh yeah bondage is magic. That’s why I love watching early mlp episodes! <3
Rude. They do want to capture them. They make excellent damsels in distress.
Fluttershy even captured herself.
And times AJ and FS were captured.

I hereby acknowledge your comment.
Applejack and Fluttershy? haha nopony wants to capture her
I wouldn’t say easily, but yeah, she can be by being ambushed and stuff. But who can’t?
Rainbow Crash is easily captured, but she does put up quite the fight
