My Heavy loadout was pretty much built entirely by chance. On my fifteenth MvM tour, I somehow got lucky and got an Australium Tomislav. Then, like half a year later or so, I was going on an unboxing spree (Crate #83, if you’re curious) when I got Miami Nights Gym Rat. Now, I hardly play heavy, but neither of those two items are worth enough for me to sell. Besides, there’s hardly an easier way to make people jealous of a crappy unusual than to tell them you unboxed it yourself. The Heavy Tourism was also unboxed, and the Jungle Booty was crafted by yours truly.
I don’t actually try to make people jealous tho
Casual Mode be like that.
Why not both, he got auto-team-balanced too much. :p
I don’t know the comics. I know the game, the Meet The Team videos and - in terms of the heavy - I played Poker Night in the Inventory, so I know about the PhD in Russian literature.
I believe that Bulk Biceps has such a side too. All the other things I mentioned are still true, though.
If what you say is true, about the family, then that would support Big Macintosh, but I think Bulk Biceps still outweighs it, figuratively and literally. :p
I think the general problem is that Big Mac is a much more popular character than Bulk Biceps. Episodic character versus background character.
I think the biggest thing going for Big Mac as Heavy is his connection with his family. It’s portrayed more in the comics (and by that I mean it’s pretty much portrayed only in the comics), but Heavy’s biggest concern is his family. Another interesting tidbit of information about the Heavy is that he has a PhD in Russian Literature. By no means is he a dummy (not saying Bulk is one, but he isn’t the brightest bulb on the tree either…), and while we don’t see it much, Mac has a lot going on in his head, too.
Both make a good choice for the Heavy, but Mac beats out Bulk imo.
Bulk Biceps likes hats, has the muscles, he’s… uh… you can outsmart him easily, he’s loud, he’s a quiet soul outside competetive environments.
YEAH!
To me it’s hard to see Big Macintosh as Heavy, even though it’s so popular, or especially it being so popular.
BigMac might be somewhat big but has a too calm and deep nature, imo.
No, I’m not jealous about your items, just worried about your money going down the sink, I hope you’ve got enough for that, my dear. :p
Edited
all i got to say it it sure beats effects like “massed flies” or “nuts n bolts”. heck, it even beats the only unusual i have which is orbiting planets.
It’s a nice, visible effect that isn’t overly gaudy or flashy. Not to mention it’s one of the cheapest effects… for whatever reason. I’m not just saying that because I have something with it, either.
Although I do think it’s funny that Dane popularized such a “low tier” effect.
