I do hear the original arcade “Mario Bros.” for Switch actually does have leaderboards, custom-screen options, and such, which sounds nice.

That sounds like it’d be a blast to play for sure. I’d definitely pick it up and I’m sure my niece would have fun with it since she loves Mario Odyssey and Mario Maker.

Yeah, that needs a remake too.
 
As for my “Dream game” remake of “Mario Bros. Classic,” it’d be cool if they added new enemies new gimmicks, and such, but still keep levels contained in a single screen space. Could add online features, leaderboards, an original mode, and such.  
Oh, and the characters would be 3D models, (kinda like NewSMB) but the backgrounds would be like 2D HD versions of the GBA game backgrounds. And keep the GBA music too.

A remake would be pretty cool. Personally I wouldn’t mind seeing a remake of Skies of Arcadia Legends on the switch myself I loved that game on the Gamecube when it came out for that system since I didn’t have a dreamcast to play the original.

I’d love a remake done in a similar vein to the Super Mario Advance “Mario Bros. Classic/Battle” game.
