This episode was really good for developing Maud, especially taking into account the last several ones that had her as a focus. She’s gotten her degree, began a career in a field that she loves, and has managed to open up enough to make friends outside her family that share her interests. Finding someone that she likes enough to share a more intimate relationship with is the next natural step. We’re really getting a good side story with Maud.

Also, her smile while looking at Mud Briar is adorable as hell. You can really tell she’s into him a lot. They’re pretty cute together. As much as I love Pinkie to death, she’s really overreacting here.

Indeed, since all we really knew about her were her hobbies/job and her relationship with Pinkie we never really got to know enough about Maud to say whether she was into or against romantic relationships. Indeed, the fact that she did want a close friend outside her family last season can even be seen as a step toward her becoming willing to get a romantic friend.

I just think this was thrown together.
Maud isn’t the relationship type of character.
It feels like they are just throwing relationships together at this point, and I hate the premise of Maud being in one.
Just kinda messes with her character in a way I don’t really like.
