The reason why the whole “Trixie gets lynched five minutes after the credits” thing is bullshit is because there was at least a day of cleanup before the performance, and Trixie was able to walk right through that crowd (sticking out like a sore thumb, mind you) to apologize to Twilight.
 
If there was ever a chance of her getting trampled to death, it was before the performance or when she had the balls to wander through that crowd. Maybe Ponyville ponies are just forgiving, hmm?
 
Ponyville isn’t Detroit, damn it.
