Sorta. I do live rurally, so I often work at my grandfather’s farm. Though, my time around farms have been less about finances and more about growing a fondness for fauna and work ethic due me being close to a lazy sociopath during my middle childhood years.
 
My town is weird, and by extension so am I, in that it can’t decide if it wants to be rural with urban influences or vice versa. It’s fairly progressive all things considered. A bit bland, but still.

Yeah, I think both of us are in an odd position honestly. I own farmland and grew up around ranches and farms and I believe you said you have as well. In fact, just recently I had some family come into town and we put on a roof for my Grandmother’s house. I’m used to being in this weird state where I’ve grown up in and am surrounded by “rural” sensibilities and people even as I myself went off to become educated at University and invest my monies in private enterprise.
 
I ride this weird nether space where I am too “country” to be considered in any way refined and too “indoctrinated by them liberal schools” to belong in any small town. I don’t really feel like I belong anywhere.

I like what I wear. So far, every year of high school and college, I’ve worn exclusively jeans, even getting a nickname: Wrangler, after the brand name.
 
As for formal attire, I wear this “blue-collar” sort of suit that is professional even if it looks like blue flannel.

Sounds reasonable to me. I generally wear carpenter or cargo jeans and button shirts or T-shirts but I do own some suits and what not as well. I just dress how I feel. Unless you’re going to some formal gathering or something I think you should just dress in a way that makes you feel happy or comfortable.

Ah, I get you. Standard clothing for me is that kind of shirt mixed with denim jeans and snazzy black shoes.

I didn’t mean smart in the intelligence sense. (Not to assume you’re not intelligent though.) Just someone who’s “smartly dressed.” Looks “smart.” As in, you look perfectly normal and well rounded to me.

Meh, I’m pretty open on what I look like. My picture was on a thread like a month ago. Some people say I look okay, but I just think I’m odd. Or I’m just shit at taking pictures.

I doubt the people in here are even remotely attractive, but they like to pretend they are cool and hate on themselves on the ’net.

Ah, I forgot to tag for personal opinions.

V There is not one objectively worse than the others. But there are those which excel at certain part of what makes a fandom horrible in the eyes of others.  
For example, Pokemon having what’s probably the greatest amount of drawn porn, or the Final Fantasy lot having some of the most sickening fanfics, or the Harry Potter fandom’s tendency to derail the characters enormously, or the Sonic fandom for being the most fragmented and aggressive.  
I’d give the bronies the “prize” for being the most invasive ones.

Just goes to show how little people know about dedication to their specific niche or nerdom and also how generally cruel people are.
