Didn’t they already try to sell a hilariously overpriced game character in the Gameloft game based on said story?
Was more of an example of something that can give Pinkie some powers. If not Discord, then some random item/however Pinkie comes to power in this comic. Guess I’ll just have to wait an see.
The artist said that Discord isn’t in this comic.
What you can’t see Discord giving her powers? Do you know what episodes we’re getting in the second half of this season? I’m curious about what we’ll get.
Abseloutely not happening.
Seeing how they’ve had comics and episodes based off one another before. Any chance we’re going to see a omnipotent Pinkie Pie animated pranking the main 6? Maybe that’s where this clip is from?

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ayyy
I think that’s it, we will have to see in this season, alot of things can happen.
I have the crazy theory that happen in different timelines ….
As for example in Equestria Girls 2, it is said that Star Swirl defeated sirens by himself. And it was backed by the comic Fiendship is magic # 3 (I think) where they explain how he beat them.
You will say that it was long before Season 7 came out and the pillars came out. but remember that in season 5, different timelines came out.
Also I think that season 7 and 8 are different timelines (crazy, I know), in the season 7 pillars come out and season 8 happens in the MLP movie timeline. Also there will be an annual comic of legends of equestria, where they will speak of a timeline where Styngian never corrupted and still with the pillars, but they will fight against the pony of the shadows (which I think is the same of season 7 or another timeline) …
This time travel and alternate universes, give me a headache, also if the pillars appear in season 8, I will rest a bit of this theory, but I will not leave it …

It depends on how you define canonicity. That’s my point, some people define it diffrently than you.
Now, if I take your definitions as granted then you are correct. However I don’t take them as granted and thus I don’t think you are nessarily correct. You are correct in the case where we make the presupposition that the canon can be decided firmly or softly by the creator of the work, but I and a lot of other people don’t feel the same about that and as such I feel that it’s down to an individuals subjective judgment and thus how they define canonicity.
>If it was up for interpretation for individuals, i could point to… lets say my favourite FimFiction author and decide i feel like what he writes is canon.
I think that’s entirley how it works. I think that’s why you’re not understanding what I’m saying here.
If you want to say that your favorite author’s work is canon, the go for it. If that’s what you want to define as canon then more power to you, and that said most reasonable people won’t rag on you for holding that opinion besides saying, I think you are wrong (which is just another way to say “I disagree” in most cases). The only time a problem actually comes up is when you try to enforce your definitions on other people who have differing definitions.
>If there werent then you literally could never write a coherent story.
What does this have to do with storywriting at all? An author obviously will still have their interpretation as to what’s canon and what isn’t and how other people interpret their work, whether they share the same definitions or not, will have absolutley nothing to do with the story proper. They will write the story in a way that makes sense to them and they will put it out there and usually they will hope that people understand it the same way they do, but that doesn’t always happen because people aren’t like that.
If you’re a creator then you get to decide what you put in the story, but not how other people interpret it.
1, “The very fact that I’m openly disagreeing with you about that should be proof your statment is false or at the very least not entirely true.” I want you to keep imagining theoretical arguments including that logic until your realize how wrong this line of thinking is.
2, “That’s down to individual interpretation” No… Its not? Canon isnt down to individual interpretation. Thats literally why we have the word canon; to describe the official story of fantasy. There is a word to describe the individual interpretation too, its “Headcanon”.
Unless you were talking about WHO decides what is canon. The explanation is also simple in that case; People with direct influence over the show. Such as: Staff, Writers, and Dhx. Examples of people who have indirect influence over mlp canon: Bronies, People who are not staff, or people who are not Writers)
If it was up for interpretation for individuals, i could point to… lets say my favourite FimFiction author and decide i feel like what he writes is canon. But thats not how it works, i think we can agree on that. There is a reason why there are these rules regarding this, why the writers decide the canon. If there werent then you literally could never write a coherent story. Or a story whatsoever for that matter, since everyone gets to decide what is part of your story and not.

>1. The mlp staff decide which epiodes are to be made and what direction to take the show, correct?
True
>2. So the mlp staff therefore decides what is canon and what they dont consider to be canon, correct?
That’s down to individual interpretation. If that’s what you beleive that’s true for you, but what holds true for you might not be the same for everyone else. The very fact that I’m openly disagreeing with you about that should be proof your statment is false or at the very least not entirely true.
>3. And so therefore if they officially state “The IDW comic series are canon unless they contradict the main show or the EQG movies” Then the comics are canon unless they contradict the show or the eqg series, CORRECT?
Again, they can say that but they can’t make everyone accept it and I personally feel that canonicity isn’t strictly determined by the author of a work.
That said, feel free to disagree with me, but don’t assume that everyone who disagrees with you doesn’t understand your fundamental premise and needs it explained to them with a stern talking to like some child lol.
This is not my opinion. Its what the staff said. My caps and bold letters are used because you people apparently have a problem with understanding it, and i am frankly getting tired of repeating it. If its difficult for anyone who is still reading lets go through the steps
I must have misinterpreted the excessive caps and bold text as an attempt to enforce your opinion over everyone elses then, my bad.

What argument? There is no argument here, there is just a single fact. Fact is that what staff says goes.

Chill guys, point those canons somewhere else please. It’s really not all that important what is and isn’t canon except for the sake of argument and honestly there’s no reason to get into an argument about it here. How about we just all agree that it’s great to see a hardworking community artist get his due and get asked to work on franchise official material regardless of said materials canonicity? Doesn’t that sound nice?
If the show staff says its canon, its canon. PERIOD. And guess what they said? THEY SAID ITS CANON UNLESS THERE IS A CONTRADICTION. Not uncanon, not canon if refrenced, Canon unless contradicted. Its not that hard to understand

Its not canon, because most of it is not reference in the show or equestria girls. The only one i know that is canon is what I said earlier. And the book of the two sisters, nope….not canon & it was written by Amy Rogers. It’s just like fan fiction, its still good to read for some people & to look at
