Following with the last few things I’ve uploaded being references for Kingdom of the Desert Sky, this is one I wanted to do just to have an idea of the scale in which the characters fit next to each other looks like. Of all the major characters in the story, Chroma is the shortest and Celestia actively towers over her. But that’s normal for everybody because the only major character taller than her is her dad who is actually the biggest dude around.
 
In this story, The Iscandors have always been a family of very large and very powerful people and tend to breed more, large and powerful humans. On average the people of Isca are a relatively mixed bag, most of them being exiles from whatever country dumped their ancestors in the desert for exile for some reason or another. There’s no one ‘race’ that specifically occupies the Solaris desert, but most Iscans are of Semiran descent. In an ironic turn, Semiras, the country to the north of Isca, is their most hated enemy which Isca has been at war with since it’s founding.
 
Nebula and Chroma are the only ones here not born in Isca. Across the sea to the east lies Equuis Island, a land famous for it’s pegasai and horses, which is where Chroma was born. Nebula comes from the other side of the Solaris desert to the west of Isca, Alkamen Island. A land formed by the converging of three major rivers that run along it’s borders and is famous for the founding of studied magic. Other than displaying typical physical traits of Alkamen people, not much is known about Nebula’s past before she became the Queen. Supposedly, she and Helios were something of a fairy tale, where the young prince came and whisked her away to his castle one day out of the blue.
