AJ is Unskilled but strong (check out TV Tropes) that is all.  
Even if Pegasi are fragile not every is the same. RD and the Wonderbolts is abnormaly tough kind. Similary Fluttershy seems to have a strong connection with nature also an Earth Pony trait.

On a random note, the pegasi seem to have a history of martial culture, going by Hearth’s Warming Eve.
 
On another random note, Rainbow Dash is a flyer and dedicated athlete, but Applejack is highly capable at a number of skills sundry - farming, baking, lassoing, herding, apparently everything involved in rodeo competitions, and uh… ice sculpting? (Canterlot Wedding)

aj is a earth pony what means that she is thougher than rd, also i guess the pegasi are the most fragile type of pony, so martial arts wouldnt make so much difference at all

We all know how the Wonderbolts episode will turn out. If she gets accepted she’ll end up leaving the cast. So more likely than not, her dreams will be broken.
