Comrade Glimmer sure is more equal than those 6. State approved, comrade.☭
Those arguments always drive me nuts, it’s like why can’t those two agree over something for once.
Starlight: Reduces Chrysalis to a vagabond
Mane 6: Need an entire episode to defeat a bugbear
Starlight: One-shots a bugbear
Fair point.
Never said it was more annoying I just said it was the more annoying aspect of THIS FANDOM
How is it any more ridiculous than sports fans arguing, “My team is better.” “No mine is!” Or even MMA fans?
No the fact that most of you (who I’m sure are grown adults) fight over something childish like that saying stuff like “Trixie is best pony” “no, starlight glimmer is best pony!”
To have a favorite pony?
Well then that’s just sad
Never.
I have to agree with genervt; you’re hopeless.
They didn’t abandon or betray her, she abandoned them. This isn’t a matter of opinion, it’s simple, easily-proven fact.
Hopeless.
The throne broke down on his own and she got out on her own.
And it was HER who abandoned the hive.
3:57 they shot their carebear stare destroying the rock and causing Chrysalis to be buried in rubble. On top of that, not one of them tried helping her out of there. Drones are loyal to the queen. This is betrayal. Showing me that video just reaffirms this.

Granted, the rock chair was a stupid plot device to stop Discord from just resolving the issue with ease. Changelings have an insanely OP power of disguise, so it’s within my suspension of disbelief that an army of them could harvest everyone (would’ve preferred it not being off-screen) given time.
-They showed Trixie’s pseudo magic working/fooling them, could’ve easily been a trick, sure it was different, but nothing about that screamed certainty. It might’ve only worked for changelings who were different like Thorax. Hell Thorax’s brother had an issue converting in that episode just because he was less friendly, you’re telling me none of the other members in the army wouldn’t have problems just giving love after a lifetime of stealing it?
My point is not one single changeling thought “hey, if I go through with this a turn against my queen and this doesn’t work out the others and/or the queen is going to exile or kill me”
It’s like when slavery was a thing and one rich white man owned over a dozen slaves and whipped them daily. Say one new slave suggested “hey we could easily outnumber and beat the crap out of this guy”. You think they’d all just say “Sure!” no they’d either decline or report it to the white man.
You can’t just suddenly change the mentality of an entire army that had up until then a live long allegiance to a queen.
I’d be more inclined to believe that stupid anti-magic rock existed more so than an entire army suddenly doing a heel face turn after some weird transformation/force push happened.
I literally can’t comprehend how you guys thinking them all ignoring her orders, trying to change, destroying the rock, destroying the hive, not stopping the prison pods being destroyed, burying Chrysalis in rubble, not helping her out, standing with the good guys doesn’t constitute betrayal.
Won’t argue Chrysalis wasn’t stubborn about just admitting defeat after her army was gone as it stood.
Anyways tired of this debate as neither of our opinions are being changed and we’re just typing on and on, so I’m just going to stop reading and replying. Have the last point if you’d like.
I suggest you watch that scene again.

This.
i smell a good argument
The necessity of the mission itself hinged on bs (seriously, chair made of omnipotence-level magic-cancelling rock for everyone but changelings and a dozen offscreen abductions of heroes and royalty that all went off without a hitch?), but no, it wasn’t just the population ‘taking her word.’ I re-watched the scene, and it goes like this:
-Chrysalis grabs Thorax and starts draining him.
-Starlight proposes not holding onto his love, but giving it to her.
-He does, and it sends Chrysalis flying like a ragdoll in front of the entire swarm (or at least the many present at the time).
-He then immediately surges with power and transforms in a way completely unlike the standard changeling transformation.
Another thing? They never decided to ‘mutiny and betray’ their queen, they learned about an easy way to get what they’ve always wanted, gave it a shot, and were rewarded immediately, it was Chrysalis that didn’t care about any of that, swore vengeance (like an obsessive fool, I would say, because if she’d just taken Starlight’s offer, she’d have had everything she wanted; command of the swarm AND all the love she could ever need), and flew away despite having been offered the chance to be the leader her subjects deserved.
I’m just arguing that the entire success of the mission hinged on total bs (I’d believe she could convince SOME of the army, not 100% of the population to trust her on Starlight’s word and Thorax transforming, which he can do anyway). Sure she got there (which is a feat), but she was pretty much changeling food if they didn’t all immediately convert here.
@genervt
…What? All her drones went from protecting/serving her to blasting her and her anti-magic rock. IF that isn’t betrayal I don’t know what is. Whether she is a bad queen to them or not. Their allegiance and affiliation was to her and they broke it when they attacked her. Plain and simple.
Chryssy was not betrayed, she abandoned her hive.
She has only herself to blame for her downfall.
Are you trying to say that the tide turning with the discovery of love-sharing as per Starlight’s observation and subsequent pointing out to Thorax, the point I referred to, wouldn’t have been reached if not for them reaching that exact point? Because that’s the point at which Thorax was relevant in dethroning Chrysalis, the one referred to by ‘that far,’ and the one Starlight helped him to reach. It kind of sounds like you’re saying she couldn’t have gotten there without an event that took place shortly AFTER she got there.
Starlight wouldn’t have gotten that far either if the literal ENTIRETY of the hive didn’t decide to mutiny and betray their queen on the word of a pony that was about to be killed/harvested and/or the proof of a CHANGELING who’s innate power is transformation, changing into something else as irrefutable evidence.

This is the MLP fandom. You can just make a thread/picture calling Derpy “stupid” and you’ll get mountains of salt. Not exactly difficult to extract here.
I guess so. I still think Chrysalis should be more mad at him, overall.
